Scholarship Program

 

In 2005 the Summit County Hall of Fame initiated a Scholarship Program by offering two $500 scholarships to Summit County Student/Athletes, The number of scholarships grew to 3 scholarships in 2007 and the growth continued to four $1000 scholarships for the Class of 2008.

 

Applications are available at all Summit County High Schools and by clicking on the “Scholarship Application”.

 

Students are required to meet the following criteria:

• Must be a high school senior, male or female, in high school.
• Must be a senior at any Akron high school, including St. Vincent-St. Mary, Our Lady of the Elms and Hoban or any Summit County school, including Walsh and Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy.
• Must be a letter-winner in a varsity sport.
• Must carried a 3.0 G.P.A or better for four years in high school.
• Will be attending college in the fall.

 

Scholarships winners and their parents will be recognized at the June meeting of the Summit County Sports Hall of Fame.
