SCHNELLINGER, ERIN STOW-MUNROE FALLS HIGH SCHOOL GPA 4.14

Erin graduated with a 4.14 grade-point average, scored a 34 on the ACT test and posted straight “As” throughout high school. Her diverse high school resume includes German, band and numerous Advance Placement courses. Erin was born with a generic disorder that affected her breathing, eating and hearing – she has undergone nearly three dozen surgeries in her lifetime – and it has shaped her career goals. She will attend the University of Rochester in New York and study biomedical engineering. Erin hopes to perfect a hearing aid that can be used without limitation in and around water. This would benefit not only someone swimming, a sport Erin enjoys, but also people who live in high-humidity or high-precipitation areas.
